I’ve always got an eye out for old art school color charts and the like

with some nice chippy-ness to the white at this point

I might just put them to decorative use

Obviously they were carved by the same person but it appears of two different woods, and decorated with what seems to have been a water based paint, a fair bit of it lost or faded but lots of good color remaining, Great faces, great attituses, and I how the area underneath her chair was outlined but never carved out. Total charmers. Both measure about 4 1 4" t x 7 8" w x 2 1
