Colorful Checkerboard Antique Needlepoint Square, Larger of Two old carved black dog This one just makes mePure joyful color! I believe this was meant to be made into a potholder, but it was never backed (which I think is a good thing, as one gets to see the back!) It could be made in one yet, but I might be inclined to frame it as is c. 1870s or so I believe but looking ultra modern. 5" x 5" and in very good condition, clean and crisp, with super saturated color and neatly hand stitched hem on reverse.
